A HOPELESS ENEMY

A hopeless enemy You! The protector of the rich You took the help of a witch Asked her to cast a spell upon me Unleashing wrath of hell in a spree But she was just a conjurer of cheap tricks She carried with her multiple broomsticks I broke them one after the other She fled, shouting for her brother And you, unworthy of being my enemy Hiding in darkness, stabbing from behind Dare and come front to confront Already afraid by my harsh sounding grunt? With sword in one hand, I am waiting You don’t have guts and you’re panicking Hiding from me you still persist The urge to confront you I can’t resist Warrior you call yourself without any shame Sadist you are, envious of my ever rising fame Always playing with me Hide and Seek Your attacks show you are old and weak The day you face me, with fear you’ll shiver Only one chance before I drown you in river If you beg and promise me of a reform Being fair, I‘ll let you go and transform

WON and LOST

WON & LOST Never felt this way before Never wanted anything more I had got all I wanted What I asked for was granted But I don’t know why What I got made me feel shy Friends around me looked so sad Then how could my heart be glad? Though I knew I had fared Friends did show they really cared Don’t know why my inside’s burnt In truth I had lost I slowly learnt This one victory I won’t rejoice Fake smile I put up, I have no choice All I wish is they get what they want I question the god why they can’t? I know can fight my battle alone But with them I have lived and grown The triumph of this victory I don’t care Until I have with me someone to share                            ~surya(emotional)

DELOCATED

DELOCATED Away from home in a new place Lost in the crowd that has no face Strange is life, strange are its ways Hidden behind clouds are lost my sun rays Purpose of my life is still unknown Within me echoes my own moan Walking on path, don’t know where it goes Surrounded by darkness & eerie echoes Lagging behind, losing my grip Awake I stay haunted by sleep Nothing goes right when you are wrong Feeling the wait is now too long My loved ones are far, far away Reminded by their memories night & day Missing those friends & missing those joys I listen to their voices with tears in eyes I find myself lost in this race Adding myself even more disgrace Failing to know what I want to do The time has come for me to make my move Struck in a place with fewer chances to escapes Surrounded by dangers like shadows taking all shapes But I know that no matter what, I have to move on The struggle had already begun when I was jus

We the Programmers

We the Programmers We code in day and crack at night Shifting the binary digits left and right Languages give a form but logic adds the life Cubicle is our cosmos and computer our wife We program the gadgets you feel are super cool AT&T Bell labs is our ancestor’s old school When Jobs met Woznaik Apple was found We made Audio drivers to provide you with sound C and C++ are prerequisite to join our kin Linux has trash & windows recycle bin Keyboards & mouse are our essential tools In the world of computers we define the rules We designed the GUIs but still prefer commands Working within time limits for customer’s demand For us only 10 numbers exist, one & zero Charles Babbage is our most revered hero The supercomputers are our Rolls Royce The robust Java is weapon of our choice Though Microsoft believes .NET is better option Open source is the way to go is our notion With JavaScript and AJAX we make wonders Infini

THE LEAGUE

Image
THE LEAGUE Kaante- some thorns hurt deep Is what they called themselves Under the same roof they used to sit Famous for there jests and uncanny wit Though they had expertise in different fields They were all bound by a single rule That had brought them together and close Fun was in excess and joy in overdose One hated girls & other was shy He enjoyed vexing as he was a gadfly The other loved girls & often he would stare Girls loved the other but he lacked the dare They all revered a young scholar He taught them with zeal & vigor This was the common link they all shared Even with their follies they easily fared There came a time when their paths separated But the league-kaante never disintegrated They became mavens in their subjects Their names were salient in their domains One became the EC department’s superstar Always spoke as if he knew lot about cars Respected for his mien & blessed with eidetic memory

The Traumas of a Common Man

Image
The Traumas of a Common man 1.35 liters of petrol will cost you hundred bucks The prices are increasing and it just sucks The government says it is handling the problems It’s just another lie concealed behind the emblem The woes of common man are not one but many More than his earnings he spends his money Even the rates of fruits & vegetables are high And in Kingfisher airlines people rarely fly 30,000 Rs is the cost of just 10 grams of gold With adulterations the rations are being sold The farms are being converted into plots The works of our government are just blots Many families are dependent on one man He tries to bear the burden as much as he can But with price hikes his efforts go in vain Cleverly he hides from family & suffers pain Corruption has infiltrated our society The jobbery has added to bourgeois’ anxiety Plebian doesn’t have guts to take a stand Even if he does, none joins with him hand Unemployment of

An Acquaintance

Image
An Acquaintance I just drove to McKay’s bar In my royal blue BMW car It was late evening & it was getting dark               I just drove aside & made it park Climbing the white marble stairs I went inside Shaking hands with people who came outside Many whom I met, I had never known I took a martini in a glass that was cone Many a colored drink were at the shelf To choose one I took bartenders help He gave me the one that looked like blue ink After the first sip, my mind stopped to think My head was spinning & I looked all around I could hear faintly the DJ’s sound The bar girls were dancing for a lazy song I felt seconds that passed were very long In a corner I saw a lady dressed in velvet black Her face looked familiar which I had seen some time back To talk with her I went more near And asked her “are you alone dear?” She gave me nod with smile across her lips Then we came out giving waiter his tips We took

Mahatma: The Undaunted spirit

Image
Mahatma: The Undaunted spirit The greatest man of our generation We all render him with great devotion His greatest weapon was nonviolence With which he demolished British in silence He won half the battle with non-cooperation It became tough for British to handle the situation With Dandi march he broke the salt laws Which he had found unfair and full of flaws Gandhi was many times jailed But his mission never failed He was barrister by profession But nation building became his obsession He led a very simple life With Kasturba, a very supportive wife Satyagraha was his greatest invention This became the symbol of new revolution But the victory didn’t give him satisfaction As India had to undergo partition No doubt, he is the strongest man Let’s follow his ideals as much as we can!                                       ~SURYA                                       With holy respect Well this is my second poem , i mean  my

The Spring Time

Image
The Spring Time When the autumn turns to spring                  In the nature, bell of happiness rings Every flower gets a visit from honey bee And new green leaves emerge on every tree The brown land turns to green The air again becomes fresh and clean Spring brings us the festival season And we celebrate for this new reason On the barren land, grass begins to grow And down the valley fresh waters starts to flow A new freshness surrounds us And we enjoy it without making any fuss It’s the merriest time of the year Sweet sounds of nightingales fill our ear These days are to rejoice and have fun Among the grasslands we sing and run                                                 ~Surya                         Blissfully yours It is one of my most earliest poem , i had written it 3 to 4 years ago, but i  remember  i had written it while doing a train journey

My Pal

My Pal I sit here, thinking about the time we spent You were the best gift that god ever sent As the time passed by, our friendship grew And we sat together to drink the mountain dew. Time and tides never wait for anyone But, I did have someone who waited for me We always did the things left by many undone Between us it was never I or you, it always was we The Roads that we took & the things that we did Were those which your parents would forbid We had differences and we did fight Most of them hardly could last a night In times of peril together we would stick One stood beside & cared when other was sick Both famed by the virtue of our Atticism Nobody could separate us, even by racism Many perceived our thoughts were abnormal And had notions that we were devoid of sanity Our fantasies bestowed with Supernatural & paranormal That should not mislead, we never strayed from humanity A time came when our paths diverged L
