One CraZy Night

One Crazy Night

One night at a friend’s house
Four friends, one TV, inside a room
With their stomachs filled, there was no space
So lazy, even shoes were removed without untying the lace

As soon as they entered, they locked the room from inside
Soon did they realize only three were in, one left outside
So, they had to open and let him in
He entered giving furious looks, as if others had committed great sin

Changed to night dress, all wanted to sleep
Just then one of the friend’s cell phone gave a beep
Curious were the other three, guessing who could be at this hour ?
Alas, it was company’s & they had expected to be his lover !

There were only two beds, & two had to sleep on floor
Two big hearted, though in size small accepted the offer
Each promised the other, that they will not snore
Nobody still knew what the night had in its store

As the clock struck twelve, nobody had still slept
One then decided to break the silence that was kept
He opened his mouth to narrate his adventurous tale
Others knew he was fake, when he told how he flew once in a gale

He was asked to shut up, as his tale surpassed logic
And other was asked to keep quiet has his story was tragic
Now, how could 4 boys, couldn’t discuss about girls?
All sat up, with eyes wide open shining like pearls

About girls, among four only two knew more
All the things, discussed tonight will be kept secret, all swore
The two more enlightened ones decided to preach
And made sure that night’s accord nobody would breach

The two who knew more assumed the role of gurus
The remaining two sat on floor like disciples
The bigger one, inclined himself with pillow to the wall
Wearing a monkey cap, he gazed at room as if it was a big hall

Then one guru started by saying–“girls use you & then forget “
The other explained the traumas and how one will later regret
The 2 disciples listened and were amazed
By the experiences their gurus so openly shared

There was a moment when the big guy closed his eyes
He looked as if a dead body was saying to world good byes
Just this small spark was enough to ignite the laughter
All started laughing; it went on like a roller coaster

Even after 15 minutes there was no sign of stopping
One feared his stomach would rip apart
He even couldn’t control by hanging on to window panes
Their echo was resound in nearby empty lanes

Then all of a sudden, from neighborhood there came a noise
From window the four saw a man escaping in disguise
Nobody knew, that the man was there with intentions to rob
He ran, fearing that he would be beaten up by mob

There wasn’t any mob, it was the four’s loud laugh
That gave the impression, that there was crowd nearby
But the four were confused, huddled and slept tight
Unaware that could have had more laughs at thief’s plight

Its was 2 am when they finally lost their consciousness
The tiredness took over and they slid into soporific state
Friends together at night will always have one crazy story to tell
To wake them up, it took milkman a lot of pressing of door bell

  3. this is a good poem.
truly catches the spirit of friends. but i have i one thing to say though.
you use the word because a lot, there is no need to explain everything all the time.
this has been a great poem, the characters are vivid and lovable. you are a genius, but you must try to find some more flair.
