Draupadi's Lament

Image
I pray to thee, oh! My dear lord! Please save me from this fraud Strength of my men is lost Their hearts are now sealed in frost They now stand head held low Shattered by Shakuni’s blow Couldn’t they see the deceit? Couldn’t they decide to forfeit? Look, what the desire has cost My honor is about to be lost Oh! My dear lord, I only have you Save me soon, minutes are few Mighty Bhim can’t move an inch While, to my garb I desperately clinch Arjun’s aim is no more the same Yudhisthir failed in an unfair game Oh! My dear lord my strength is weak I pray to thee, save this meek I am being stripped in front of all Crowd is pleased watching Pandava’s fall Now, I have very less to hide In shame five men watch plight of their bride Oh! My dear lord, I can no more wait Come save me before it’s too late This is a horrendous crime Repercussions will be soon seen in time My men will prepare to retaliate In their anger Kaurava’s kingd...

The Gambler's Night

Image
The dictionary defines gambler as a person who is willing to take the risk in hope of a desired result. A risk-taker is a gambler. A gambler doesn't necessarily meet success every time. Loss is always expected; the undesired result. It was sometime during the month of May, summer vacations were on but Sainik school had called back its pupils for early onset of classes. The campus was empty except for the final year batch. The city of Bijapur bathed in the intense heat of blazing sun. The air near the surface of earth was so hot that it often resulted in mirages on the black velvety asphalt road. The days were hot; the nights brought relief with occasional rains and cool breeze. It was not an ordinary night. It was raining hard and fast and it made a rhythmic sound as it splashed on the window panes. Mike and Saty were in no mood to study, they were sitting near the window and discussing about the smallest route that they could take in this rain to reach Reshma’...

The Story of Chindi Chor

Image
This blog is written to let you all know about the story behind the concept of “Chindi Chor". Chindi Chor is one who eats all the low budget snacks usually present in mobile stores or small Kirana shops present in the narrow streets of an underdeveloped town. These snacks usually consist of nuts (vatani) which come in various colours like red, green & yellow. I even don't know the English names of these snacks so let me put there Desi(Indian, more specifically North Karnataka) names: Papdi, Kurbaani(Habib brand), Maharaja Badaang, Chakli etc. These usually came at a price of 1 to 2 Rupees when Chindi Chor(The main protagonist of this article) first started eating them. At present their costs have risen up to 5 Rs. Did you all know why he fell in love with such products and ended up practically endorsing them and being their brand ambassador? Well, let me tell you how it began and how it became his obsession and how still he continues to eat them whenever and wherev...

Redefining Myself

My words are semantic My thoughts are symmetric My actions regardless of my intentions Always tend to be heroic! My entry is dramatic My reactions are theatric My speed is progressive My movements are ballistic My costumes are thematic But my jokes are not pedantic For all kinds of pain, I am stoic Forever immune to all kinds of toxic My beliefs are Vedic I practice what is scientific For ladies I am always romantic Don’t mistake me as robotic My speeches are always a topic For discussions that are not pragmatic By people who are so eccentric Ironically they call me a fanatic My poetry is Kabbalistic Every line in it, is mystic Every word has a varied meaning Which makes me cryptic My views are holistic My ideas are futuristic I can escape out of any crisis As I know each and every tactic At times my behavior can be erratic Which makes my anger sporadic Don’t sway too close I tend to be highly magnetic The...
