Concerning the Hobbit who faced the Dragon
        The tide was high it reached for sky   The waves charged in upon the shore   They swept and crept beneath the sand   The sea stared back to ruin the land     The thief of stealth was lost in wealth   He had in mind a stone to find   To search the stone he slid more deep   Only to wake a dragon asleep     The silence broke and from slumber it woke   The time had come for the long sleep to end   The earth shook beneath when dragon took a breath   It breathed out fire and then came out smoke     It found the thief who had a promise to keep   When he  realized  his folly he tried to hide   But dragon’s sense more powerful than any fence   It caught the thief before he could leap     The thief tiny and small, the dragon mighty and tall   It was no match; Dragon had found its catch   He stood aghast he was found at last   He closed his eyes to feel the fiery blast     The dragon stood in a magnanimous stance   The Hobbit knew he had no chance   To find the stone that shone s...
